Spotlight UA Coping With Swine Flu November 6, 2009 | AZPM

Story by Robert Rappaport

The flu bug has hit the University of Arizona, but campus officials say the school says is coping just fine. UA officials say they’re pleased with the campus response to an increasing number of swine flu, or H1N1, cases. School president Robert Shelton says everybody has been sensitive to the issue.

"Kudos to the faculty, because they're understanding that students have to stop out of class, so they're being very flexible that way," says Shelton.

Shelton says the Campus Health Service has been reporting a couple of dozen new flu cases each week. The service has complied a list of prevention tips.
