The City of Tucson doesn't fare well in a nationwide employment poll. Tucson is below average in a new Forbes survey of affordable cities with stable employment.
The Forbes.com "Best Bang-For-The-Buck" survey ranked Tucson number 62 out of 100 large U.S. metro areas.

The survey looked at five housing price aspects, job growth, the unemployment rate and travel time to work. The top "Bang For The Buck" areas included Omaha-Council Bluffs, Iowa; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Jackson, Mississippi. Los Angeles was ranked last in the survey. The Phoenix/Mesa/Scottsdale area was ranked number 82.
