President Obama to Address Nation

NPR News is providing live, anchored coverage of President Obama’s address -- hosted by Michele Norris -- tonight beginning 5 p.m. on KUAZ 89.1/1550AM (and in Sierra Vista at 91.7 FM).

In this scheduled speech from the White House, President Obama is expected to announce plans to require BP to put billions of dollars into an escrow account to pay claims arising from the oil spill.

Joining Norris in studio will be National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson, Economics Correspondent John Ydstie and Environment Correspondent Elizabeth Shogren. NPR White House Correspondent, Ari Shapiro, will join from Pensacola with a group of people who watched the address. This special NPR News coverage can be heard online from the Arizona Public Media Radio.
