The Religious Freedom Restoration Act brought national attention to Arizona. It was the headline from the state Capitol, but plenty more happened aside from the vetoed SB 1062, a legislation opposers argued would have allowed business owners refuse service to certain groups of people, particularly gay, lesbian and transgender, using religious beliefs as justification.
I sat down with AZPM's Christopher Conover to look at some of the action that may have been missed, including:
Gov. Jan Brewer signed a bill that repeals a controversial campaign finance law.
The state House gave preliminary approval to a bill that would allow surprise inspections at abortion clinics in the state.
Also, the Legislature has yet to move on a budget for this session, and missing deadline could kill several other bills.
