Earth Transformed Radio Special

A one-hour radio special on the 2016 University of Arizona College of Science Lecture Series exploring climate change and its impact. Airs on NPR 89.1 on Friday at noon.

EarthTransformed The 2016 UA College of Science lecture series will focus on global climate change.

The 2016 University of Arizona College of Science Lecture Series explored Climate Change and its impacts. No longer merely abstract projections for the future, instead, they are on-going and growing challenges for both humans and many of the natural systems upon which we depend. Globally, changes in the oceans, ice sheets and atmosphere provide clear fingerprints of human causes, but also important lessons for society to learn as we seek solutions.

Joaquin Ruiz, Dean of the University of Arizona College of Science moderates a one-hour conversation about this important topic featuring speakers from the series. All the panelists are distinguished faculty at the University of Arizona:

    Louise Foucar Marshall Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research

  • Kacey Ernst
    Associate Professor, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, College of Public Health

    Professor, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, College of Engineering

  • Jonathan Overpeck
    Thomas R. Brown Distinguished Professor, and Regents Professor, Departments of Geosciences and Atmospheric Sciences, College of Science, Co-Director, Institute of the Environment
