Trade Between Arizona and Mexico Continues to Grow

Imports, exports and tourism flow across the border and build the local economy.

Arizona’s trade relationship with Mexico continues to deepen, says the Arizona-Mexico Economic Indicators Annual Report from the Economic and Business Research Center of the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.

Imports, exports and traveler numbers all went up, according to the most recent report, and Arizona’s share of U.S.-Mexico trade is now approaching 7 percent.

Zac Ziegler spoke with UA Economist George Hammond about the trade relationship and how to keep it growing in the future.
