The Moon

Commemorating the historic July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 mission moon landing, Arizona Public Media presents the encore broadcast of the documentary, The Moon. Airing Sunday, July 19th at 3:00 p.m and 11:30 p.m. on PBS-HD.

This fascinating BBC documentary looks at the human race's relationship with the moon from its elaborate rock formations and the process of mapping its movements to the Apollo missions which explored it. The Moon also looks at the moons of other planets, such as Jupiter's Titan and ice-covered Europa, which is the current best bet for life outside Earth.
