The latest Purple Poll has Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney leading President Barack Obama 48-45 in Arizona.

But there's a catch--the poll has a 4-point margin of error.

Most political pundits do not consider Arizona as one of the major swing states during this election cycle, but the new poll results suggest the Arizona race could be closer than conventional wisdom is predicting.

According to the Purple Poll, Arizona voters give Obama a 46 percent favorable rating. Romney gets a 44 percent favorable rating from Arizona voters.

When it comes to doing the job of president, 53 percent of those polled in the Grand Canyon State say they think Obama can handle a crisis well. When asked the same question about Romney, 51 percent of participants said they thought he would handle a crisis well.
