Tu Nidito is an organization in Southern Arizona that supports children whose lives have been impacted by a serious illness or death.

To provide that support free of charge, Tu Nidito relies on fundraising events and other sources of income--and this month, it's turning to one rather unusual idea.

This Friday, October 5, Tu Nidito and Tucson Young Professionals will team up for "The Duel", a fundraising event featuring live dueling piano players performing on the rooftop of the Pennington Street Garage.

"There are so many young people in our community, so many young professionals and other individuals who want to support organizations like Tu Nidito," says Jessica Fossmeyer, development coordinator for Tu Nidito.

By linking up with Tucson Young Professionals, Fossmeyer and Tu Nidito were able to come up with a fresh idea they hope will draw and engage that younger crowd.

The show will begin at 7 p.m.; pre-show cocktails will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets can be reserved online on the Tu Nidito website or by phone at (520) 322-9155, for $45 for general admission and $75 for reserved seating.

Proceeds from ticket sales and tips given to the piano players will all go to Tu Nidito.
