The Avalon Organic Gardens in Tumacacori, Ariz., is a 165-acre eco-village specializing in sustainable farming practices.

The eco-village began in Sedona but has embraced its move to Tumacacori, where this year's Earth Harmony Festival will take place from Saturday, October 6 to Sunday, October 7.

"It's really about helping people to understand how to create harmony with the earth as well as each other," says Mycenay Plyler, the festival's coordinator.

The two-day festival will include live music, walking tours of the grounds, education about sustainability, and children's events.

The festival is donation-based, but festival goers can call ahead to book camping spots at (520) 398-2542.
