In the latest Arizona poll from Public Policy Polling, Democrat Richard Carmona has a two-point lead on Republican Jeff Flake in the race for U.S. Senate.

That's within the poll’s four-point margin of error, indicating the race is close. PPP says its survey, which showed Flake ahead in the Senate race three weeks ago, could flip again in Flake’s favor. The firm calls the race a toss up.

Public Policy Polling is a national firm with a reputation of working for Democrats, and their polls sometimes reflect that. But in the presidential poll, Republican Mitt Romney is leading Democrat Barack Obama with 58 percent to Obama’s 37 percent of Arizonans polled. Many of the still undecided voters surveyed in Arizona also prefer Mitt Romney for president.
