“Tucson Remembers: The Korean War,” Parts 1 & 2

A visual journey with Tucson residents as they talk about their memories of The Korean War and of the Tucson area in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Begins Saturday, November 7th at 3:00 p.m. on PBS-HD.

A time when young men from Arizona and all over the world were being shipped off to defend South Korea against the advancing Red Army from the North.

Korea was the un-won war that never ended… no one even wanted to pronounce it a war: it was “The Korean Conflict,” a “Police Action” and finally, “the Forgotten War.” But no matter the name, it was still wounding, hurtful and fatal, killing tens of thousands U.S. soldiers and effecting thousands more lives at home.
