Broadcasts from The Metropolitan Opera continue on Classical 90.5 at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, January 5th, with a performance of Les Troyens by Hector Berlioz. The French libretto is by the composer based on Virgil's epic poem The Aeneid. The performance will run approximately five and one-half hours.

The Met offers a rare opportunity to experience this Berlioz masterwork, which unfolds during the aftermath of the Trojan War. Deborah Voigt, Susan Graham, Marcello Giordani, and Dwayne Croft lead the starry cast, in the first revival of the Met's 2003 production. Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi marshals the large scale musical forces required for the production.
