Broadcasts from The Metropolitan Opera continue on Classical 90.5 at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, May 4th, with a performance of Dialogues des Carmélites by Francis Poulenc, with a libretto by the composer after Georges Bernanos. The performance will run approximately three hours and fifteen minutes.

Set against the backdrop of the French Revolution, Poulenc's masterful portrait of women transfigured by courage and faith is among the most striking of modern operas. Louis Langrée conducts.
