State of the Union Address tonight on PBS, NPR

Live coverage of President Obama’s first State of the Union Address to a joint session of Congress, Wednesday, January 27th at 7:00 p.m.

PBS will broadcast President Obama’s first State of the Union Address to a joint session of Congress with extended coverage and Republican response. Newly inaugurated Virginia Gov. Robert F. McDonnell is set to deliver the Republican Party response. Television coverage of the address by PBS NewsHour correspondents will begin live at 7 p.m. on PBS-HD Channel 6, and will repeat again at 9 p.m. on PBS World Channel 27.3 (Cox 83 and Comcast 203).

The event will also be available live online at the Live Events section of the On Demand video page

NPR's coverage of the State of the Union address begins at 7 p.m. and a special one-hour nationwide call-in hosted by Neal Conan and NPR's political junkie Ken Rudin begins at 9 p.m. This special radio coverage is available on KUAZ 89.1 FM or streaming online at the Arizona Public Media Radio page

During the address, PBS-HD Channel 6 viewers can enjoy their regularly scheduled Wednesday night programming on PBS World Channel 27.3 (Cox 83 and Comcast 203) starting at 7 p.m. Tonight's PBS World programming schedule
