Arizona voter registration has climbed 3 percent to 3,221,133 since the November general election, the Secretary of State's Office reported Monday.

Republican voters make up 35.6 percent of the electorate, with 1.15 million; independents, or those expressing no party affiliation, total 33.0 percent or 1.06 million; Democrats total 30.5 percent. Registrants with other parties make up less than 1 percent of the state's total.

Those proportions are roughly the same as they were at the time of the general election, when just under 75 percent of the state's registered voters cast ballots.

The latest voter registration figures compiled by county, congressional district and legislative district are available on the Secretary of State’s website.
