THE KINGSTON TRIO

WHEREVER WE MAY GO Celebrate the music and learn the fascinating story of the Kingston Trio. Saturday, March 27th 8:30 p.m. on PBS-HD

In the late 1950s, The Kingston Trio quickly evolved from an unknown group appearing at local nightclubs in San Francisco to major stars with a No. 1 best-selling album. Invitations to sing on the top television variety shows poured in and, almost overnight, America’s teenagers went from idolizing motorcycle-jacketed greasers to emulating fresh-faced, clean-cut college guys in striped shirts and short haircuts.
