A second-hand store has been growing in the community of Catalina, and its funds have been helping thousands of people along the way.

{The Golden Goose Thrift Shop](http://www.goldengooseaz.com/index.html) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and in that time, administrators say they have raised nearly $5 million for a range of programs in Southern Arizona.

General manager Stephanie Urdiales says the success wouldn't be possible without the help of hundreds of volunteers and many donations from residents of Oro Valley, Saddlebrooke and other communities.

"Our volunteers are really the heart and soul of Golden Goose, and yes, we have in excess of 500 volunteers, most of who are retired," Urdiales says.

The shop hopes to reach its $5 million mark by April, when it celebrates 10 years of operations.
