[The Center for Creative Photography]{http://www.creativephotography.org/) opens a new exhibition called Lola Alvarez Bravo and the Photography of an Era on Saturday.

The show features both iconic and lesser-known images created by one of Mexico’s most important 20th century photographers, a woman who was fascinated with documenting scenes of everyday life.

Rachael Arauz, an independent curator and art historian who specializes in American modern art and the history of photography, tells how the exhibition developed and of Bravo's contribution to Mexican arts and culture.
