Building a functional outdoor garden and living area in a limited amount of space can be tricky, but some of Tucson's ingenious designers and landscape architects are measuring up to the challenge.

They recently participated at the "Grown Down" competition at Tucson Botanical Gardens as part of a temporary exhibition.

The four "Grow Down" gardens are scheduled to be on display until May 21.
