AZ Illustrated Nature: Get Outdoors in Coronado Forest

A SPECIAL RIVER is one way of looking on Southern Arizona's San Pedro. Coursing northward from Mexico, it is one of few waterways in the state that flows year-round. Many species of wildlife depend on this unique riparian area. producer Tom Kleespie profiles the San Pedro River.

GET OUTSIDE is the admonition of officials from the Coronado National Forest, who will celebrate National Get Outdoors Day at Parker Canyon Lake Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include participants from Arizona Game and Fish, Huachuca Area Herpetological Association and the National Park Service.

SSSSSNAKES! Two members of the Huachuca Area Herpetological Association discuss their favorite creatures with producer Tony Paniagua.

SALTON SEA and bird migration go hand in hand. Producer Tom Kleespie shows how the inland sea just across the state line in the Southern California desert is a stopoff spot for millions of feathered creatures making their way north and south.
