The state House Appropriations Committee has advanced a measure that bans public dollars from indirectly supporting abortion providers and allows snap inspections of abortion clinics.

The proposal was approved on a 7-4 party-line vote Monday with Republicans supporting the measure. It now goes to the full House.

No federal or state dollars can be used to fund abortions, but the anti-abortion organization believes groups like Planned Parenthood subsidize abortion services with money from other health care funding.

The House panel next debates Gov. Jan Brewer's Medicaid expansion plan.
