The University of Arizona's Museum of Art inaugurated No Ordinary Place on May 31.
The exhibition features four artists whose pieces examine the concept of place by questioning and exploring people's connections to each other and their surroundings.
It is a multi-faceted exploration of the environment we inhabit, says Brook Grucella, the exhibition's curator.
"In their exploration, the artists...look at the personal bond we maintain with the spaces we inhabit, oftentimes without sincere reflection," Grucella says.
She also says she hopes No Ordinary Place allows viewers to look at their environment in a new way, and perhaps take the time to stop and look at the role they play in relationship to others.
The exhibition will run through September 8 in the museum's main gallery. The UA Museum of Art is located on 1031 N. Olive Road. For more information call 621-7567.
