Aircraft and more firefighters were being assigned Monday to a wildfire burning five miles east of Yarnell and Peeples Valley near where a fire killed 19 firefighters on June 30.
The state Forestry Division reported the French Gulch Fire was burning in brush and low trees in extremely rugged terrain where there's no road access for firefighters.
The Yarnell Hill fire killed 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots when shifting wind swept flames over their position.
The French Gulch fire had 24 personnel assigned on Sunday. Dozens more were being sent Monday.
The lightning-caused fire started Saturday night and has burned 400 acres so far, including 300 acres Sunday afternoon.
