Local pinball lovers now have a reason to rejoice.

D & D Pinball is an arcade that opened near Fourth Avenue recently.

The venue is the brainchild of Jane Decker and Gary Dillahunty, both longtime Tucson residents.

Dillahunty said their fascination with the game began after a visit to the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.

"The second we put our hands on a pinball machine, it was all over with," he said. "Went straight home and started searching for some of them."

The pair has since collected dozens of vintage machines, which they restored. They repair and maintain the machines themselves.

Both said they decided to open an arcade to share their love of the game with a broader community in Tucson.

D & D Pinball will be open every weekend. For more information, call 777-4969.
