Story by Jake Feinberg

Taj Mahal is an international musical icon who has been performing world music in the most authentic way possible for the past 50 years.

His version of the blues stems from his adherence to Mother Nature, keeping his musical roots as close to the source as possible. A lot of people don't know if Taj hadn't become a master entertainer he would have been a farmer.

I sat down with Taj and his daughter Diva prior to their appearance at the Fox Tucson Theatre to talk about their experiences in the world of music, both past and present.
