Dances with Glass and Beethoven

Guest conductor Andrew Grams, cellist Wendy Sutter and violinist Tim Fain

On Friday November 15 at 8PM and Sunday November 17 at 2PM, Dancing with Glass and Beethoven is the title of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s program. The TSO welcomes guest conductor Andrew Grams for performances of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A, Op. 92 and The Chairman Dances from John Adams’ opera, Nixon in China. Violinist Tim Fain and cellist Wendy Sutter have worked closely with composer Philip Glass, actually having premiered his Double Concerto, the work they are playing in this concert. AZPM’s Ted Prichard speaks with all three guests to discuss the program.
