During a recent trip to Tucson, Katherine Nixon, chief Investment officer for Northern Trust's personal financial services, discussed the current state of the U.S. stock market, investing strategies and the state of the economy.

She said that despite the market routinely closing at or near all-time highs, there are no signs that there is any sort of a bubble.

Nixon also spoke of the eventual end of federal quantitative easing, and the effects it may have on the stock market and the economy, and the perception of worry surrounding government-issued treasury bonds.
