The cinematic talents of UA students will be showcased in an event at The Loft Cinema.

"What's Up Docs?" is presented by the UA's School of Theatre, Film and Television, and it will feature short documentaries by Bachelor of Fine Arts students.

Kaia Placa and Robbie Hyne are two of the filmmakers that will be presenting their work at the event.

Placa's documentary, "Be Heard," is about a team of spoken word poets based out of Sedona, Ariz., while Hyne's doc, "BOWL," follows a unified Special Olympics bowling team in Tucson.

"What's Up Docs?" is taking place Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., and it has a free admission. For more information call 795-0844.
