The city of Tucson will accept Christmas trees for recycling starting Thursday and running through Jan. 12.

Trees will be accepted during daylight hours at nine places throughout the Tucson metro area. Any tree dropped off at the site will be turned into wood chips, which will be available to the public starting Jan. 4 at three sites - Udall Park, Los Reales Landfill and Randolph Golf Course.
