Arizona Spotlight

Julie Bierach interviews Councilman Jose Ibarra about a proposed ordinance in the Tucson City Council that will crackdown on methamphetamine production in Tucson. Contributing to the dialogue is Captain David Neri of the Counter Narcotics Alliance. Julie Bierach speaks with him about what Tucsonans can do to help in the battle against methamphetamine. Also, KUAZ's Robert Rappaport has a feature story on a new type of dog flu that could potentially be fatal, and a "Spotlight" interview with University of Arizona Professor Dr. Vicki Chandler who has been awarded a major grant for genetics research. If you're wondering what's going on in Tucson this weekend, KUAZ's Mark McClemore has the Arizona Spotlight Arts Calendar.
