NASA has announced it will send astronauts to repair the aging Hubble Space Telescope or HST. The mission will extend Hubble's life until about 2013, not only will it be a servicing mission but HST will also be upgraded with new equipment including a new infared camera. The mission could go as early as May 2008. HST has transmitted thousands of images and helped to answer some of the deepest questions about the universe since its launch in 1990.
