This weekend’s Fourth Avenue Spring Street Fair will look a little different than it has in past years.
The event will not run as far south as it used to, in order to accommodate the modern streetcar. It will instead spread farther east and west along Seventh Street.
The fair will cause road closures between Third and Fifth Avenue from Ninth Street north to University Boulevard.
“We still have about 400 artists, we'll still have 25 food vendors, and we’ll still have about 300,000 people coming through," said Kurt Talis, the event organizer. "A full third of those artists are local...this show is about being local.”
The new layout is permanent, he said.
Talis also asked event goers to leave their dogs at home.
