Tucson is known for its diverse cultures and the melting pot continues to add different groups, like the Somali Bantu from Africa. They are refugees seeking a new life in the United States, and their population has grown significantly in the past few years: From about 300 to 400 in 2003 to about 700 to 800 right now, according to the organizer of a group that helps them.
