Bankruptcies in Arizona are becoming more frequent, with 2,014 state individuals or companies filing bankruptcy in March.
That’s a notable increase from January's figures, 1,340 and February's, 1,423.
While business filings have stayed relatively flat and less than 100 a month this far into 2014, a large increase was seen in non-business or personal filings, which went up 591 in March.
In the last 12 months, Arizona has had close to 22,851 bankruptcy filings, 4,000 less than the year before.
While state filings are going down, Pima County’s filings have gone up significantly from 1,541 to more than 2,811.
