Homes in the Tucson area are continuing to sell and prices are increasing.

Data from the Tucson Association of Realtors showed home sales went up 15 percent from March to April, and were about 2 percent higher than the same month last year.

Similar numbers were seen in the amount of money spent on real estate, which was up 13 percent month-to-month, and 1 percent year-to-year.

Medium sales price is now reaching $165,000, up 5 percent from April of 2013.

Over the past five years, home sales routinely increase from March to April.

But sales each April have increased, going from about 1,000 in 2010 to 1,300 this year.
