Border Author Proposes Change in Security Approach

Tucson native Sylvia Longmire says money, agents, fencing aren't the answer without planned approach.

Tucsonan and border security analyst Sylvia Longmire says there is no lack of resources being deployed, or spent on the border, but they aren't being used in the most efficient or effective way.

She recently published a book, "Border Insecurity: Why Big Money, Fences, and Drones Aren't Making Us Safer," about what's needed, what's working, and what isn't on the Arizona-Mexico border, and along the entire international border.
