Ballots for Sunnyside Recall Election Due Tomorrow

Too late to use Postal Service for vote-by-mail only election; three drop-off sites open in Tucson.

Tuesday is the last day to turn in ballots for the Sunnyside School District recall election of two governing board members.

Ballots in the vote-by-mail only election are due Tuesday at 7 p.m. Sunnyside residents should not mail their ballots at this point, officials said.

Instead, they should take ballots to one of three drop off sites around Tucson: the Pima County Recorder's Office at 115 N. Church Ave.; the ballot processing facility at 6550 S. Country Club Road; or Apollo Middle School at 265 W. Nebraska St.

Five candidates are seeking two seats on the board. Two are sitting board members, and three are hoping to serve the rest of those board members’ terms.
