The Community Water Company of Green Valley wants to extend the Central Arizona Project pipeline from the Tucson area to their community but the possible funding source is causing concern for many people.

Augusta Resource Corporation, a Canadian mining company, is offering up to 15 million dollars to pay for the additional 7 miles of pipeline.

However, many residents don't want it because Augusta is trying to open a mine in the Santa Rita mountains east of Green Valley and even though Augusta says there are no strings attached or commitments, many people are hesitant.
