A new walk-in clinic for veterans could be opening in Phoenix soon.

It will be among the Veterans Affairs' medical facilities under a U.S. House and Senate bill hoping to tackle delayed health care.

The legislation authorizes $1.3 billion to lease 27 outpatient clinics and other facilities in 18 states and Puerto Rico.

Most of the new facilities will not begin operation for at least two years.
