The rising levels of violence in and around Nogales are having an impact on both residents and visitors, as we hear in a special report from Claudine LoMonaco.

Although the surface exploration phase of the Phoenix Mars Mission is finished, the analysis of the huge amount of data that was collected is still underway. Mark McLemore talks to Phoenix Mars principal investigator Peter Smith about what we've learned so far, and what is still waiting to be revealed about the red planet.

Hear a story collected by the StoryCorps team during its current visit to Tucson. The storyteller is 97-year young Ruth Protas, interviewed by her granddaughter Stacey Forsyth about how her family first came to America.

StoryCorps will be in Tucson through December 21st, and January 5 through the 17th. The first session is currently full, but there could be cancellations, and reservations for the second session will be taken soon. More information is available at 1-800-850-4406.
