Alzheimer's affects more than five million people in the United States and the prognosis for the future isn't good. Experts estimate 14 million Americans will get this disease by 2050 so they encourage education, information, research and action. Caregivers are especially challenged, dealing with patients that often require assistance 24/7. We speak to a couple of caregivers as well as a doctor and the executive director of the Alzheimer's Association, Desert SW Chapter.
