Dream come true! Jill Camarena is living her dream by participating in the Olympics this year. The California native moved to Tucson a year a half ago so she could train with her coach Craig Carter. He moved here from Utah to work as assistant track and field coach at the University of Arizona.
Camarena is competing in the shot put. She's one of only three women on the US team, and qualified for the event on July 5th where she competed in a group of 24 women. Camarena flies to China at the end of July and her event is scheduled for Saturday August 16th.
