House of Cards Marathon

A politician denied a Cabinet post by the newly installed Prime Minister, ruthlessly schemes his way to power. Sunday 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on PBS 6.

The political drama House of Cards is a delicious tale of greed, corruption and burning ambition. At its heart is Francis Urquhart, a black-hearted villain with a smiling face, who shares with the viewers his estranged humor and innermost thoughts to destroy each of his political rivals. One by one his opponents tumble, until at last there is just one wild card left in the pack.

2 p.m.
Episode 1

When Urquhart is passed over for promotion by a new party leader, he hatches a dastardly plot to wreak revenge on each and every one of his colleagues.

3 p.m.
Episode 2

Urquhart forges ahead with his plan to bring down the new PM. As luck would have it, an inexperienced young journalist, Mattie Storin, is innocently hanging on his every word. Meanwhile, the party faithful congregate at the Tory conference in Brighton.

4 p.m.
Episode 3

Urquhart's plans to undermine Collingridge reach their conclusion Ironically, the PM still has great faith in Urquhart, whom he feels is the only man he can trust. But Mattie Storin continues to investigate the story, and Urquhart must decide how to stop her.

5 p.m.
Episode 4

In the run up to the leadership election Urquhart becomes ever more ruthless. He must eliminate each one of his rivals, but there is still no guarantee he will be victorious. Meanwhile, by the process of reason and elimination, the truth is beginning to dawn on Mattie.
