Bob Parlocha, who was based in the Bay Area and was a full-time employee of WWCI, was the first and only host of the Jazz Network. He hosted for 20 years. Bob will be missed by his many, many fans who listened to his daily program on stations throughout the United States.

WFMT website has created a page as a memorial for listeners around the nation to leave comments, reflections, and memories about Bob. You can find the page here.

If you would like to send a message to Bob’s family, you can either post a comment at the link above, or you can send Estlin Usher a message at eusher@wfmt.com and we will ensure that the messages are passed along.

There will be no interruption of service, we will continue to air Parlocha's archival programs.

Jazz with Bob Parlocha airs Sunday-Friday at 8 p.m, and Saturday at 7 p.m. on NPR 89.1
