This Friday, "Black Friday," is usually the biggest shopping day of the year for retailers. Local leaders and businesses would like the profits to stay in Tucson and benefit our local economy and have come with a campaign to encourage people to buy local first.

Backers of the plan say thet 45 cents of every dollar spent with a local business stays in the local economy, versus only 13 cents spent at a national chain store.

Lisette DeMars, of Local First Arizona and Karin Uhlich, Vice-Mayor, City of Tucson join Tony Paniagua in the studio to discuss the plan.
