Project PPEP

Helping during bad economy

The slumping economy is increasing the need for social service programs in Tucson and around the nation.

Tony Paniagua visits Project PPEP, Portable Practical Educational Preparation, which offers counseling, micro loans, charter high schools, rental/mortgage assistance, and other things. Counselors there say they've seen a 30% increase in domestic violence, as well as a rise in substance abuse and theft.
