Amelia, the troubled king’s beloved, will be portrayed by the intensely passionate Julianna Di Giacomo in her San Francisco Opera Debut. Sharing the role of Amelia’s coldly furious husband will be two masterful baritones, Thomas Hampson and Brian Mulligan.
