AZ WEEK: Hispanic Economic Strength Grows

New report analyzes market power of group expected to be Arizona majority in 2035

This week the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce released its first-ever Hispanic Market Outlook for southern Arizona. Arizona Week Friday looks at how a group that represents 37 percent of the region’s population will affect the economy.

On the program:

  • Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Lea Marquez-Peterson explains the economic strength of Hispanics in Pima, Cochise and Santa Cruz counties.

  • Host Lorraine Rivera interviews Rodrigo Alpizar, national president of Canacintra, about a new networking resource for businesses along the border.

  • David Farca, president of the board of directors of the Arizona Mexico Commission, analyzes the flow of money between the two countries.

  • Marc A. Rodriguez, immediate past chairman of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was the keynote speaker from the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Outlook release.
