Arizona Biennial

More than 1,000 artists in Arizona anxiously await news about whether their art works will be chosen for the Arizona Biennial. It's a major art event of the state held every two years at the Tucson Museum of Art. Forty-two works were selected this year and they are now on view at TMA.

Julie Sassee Julie Sasse, Chief Curator of the museum says the biennial provides a great survey of contemporary art today. This is also the longest running juried biennial in the state. The juror for this year's competition was Dr. Tim Rodgers, Chief Curator at the New Mexico Museum of Art.
